Atkins Recipes - Almond Torte With Chocolate Sauce And Cherry Garnish

Ingredients

  • Almonds – 1cup
  • Multigrain bread – 1 piece
  • Baking powder- 1 teaspoon
  • Tartar cream – 1 teaspoon
  • 5 Eggs
  • ½ cup of Sugar which is granulated
  • Finely chopped sugar-free chocolates – 2 ounces
  • Hazelnut syrup unsweetened -1/3 cup
  • Cream – 2 table spoons
  • Water- 2 table spoons
  • Cream coarsely whipped – ½ cup
  • Sweet cherries – 1 ½ cup ( chopped and pitted) or 10 ounces of thawed cherries

Directions to prepare:

The oven is heated to 350 Fahrenheit. The baking sheet is spread with almonds and toasted for 10 minutes until it becomes golden. It is cooled and transferred to a food processor where tartar cream and baking powder is added. The process is continued until all almonds are finely grounded.

The spring form pan which are nine inches are lined up with wax sheet. Then spray the cooking spray and crushed almonds of about one teaspoon. The egg yolk and a cup of ¼ containing sugar are combined in a large bowl, and an electric mixer is used to beat them for at least three minutes until it becomes fluffy. The whites are beaten in another large bowl and the remaining ¼ cup of sugar is added.

The nuts are folded into the yolks in three layers, with alternate one quarter of whites. The remaining is folded into whites. Spread over the pan and bake it for 18 to 20 minutes until the toothpick inserted at the centre comes out clearly. Cool it. A sharp knife is used to loosen the pan and almond torte.

The pan is inverted over the plate and the almond tortes falls over the plate .Combine with chocolates, creams and serve your customers and delight them.
