Atkins diet recipe – Spicy Maple Chicken Wings
Atkins recipe for spicy Maple chicken wings
Here’s a protein rich snack made of eggs and shrimps and will take less than thirty minutes to make about 24 servings and when you taste this you can’t ask for more.
The ingredients you will need are:
• Eggs – 12
• Shrimp – 6 ounces
• Mayonnaise – ½ cup
• Cut fresh chives – 1 tablespoon
• Celery seed – ¼ teaspoon
• Salt – as desired
• Freshly ground black pepper – as desired
The eggs need to be ‘processed’ before they are stuffed. So cook them hard, de shell them and cut them into two. Remove the yellow yolks and put the white cups of eggs aside. The shrimps need to be cooked, peeled and finely diced. Take a mixing bowl and add the yolks, the cut shrimps and all the other ingredients mentioned above. Don’t mix it too hard as then the mixture will become too smooth.
Be gentle on the mixture when you pound them with your hands. The egg whites that we had placed aside can be filled with this mixture and frozen for about an hour. You can use plastic wraps to cover the stuffed eggs that are about to be marinated. This has been found to a good appetizer in some cases while some of the Americans tend to have this as the main course itself. Since it has a good amount of eggs and shrimp this is high in proteins and hence can be given for young growing children as well. This tasty, lip smacking high protein snack just takes less than half an hour to make!
