Baked meatballs – your Atkins recipe

Amidst all your dieting and food restrictions, you will sometime, want to let your hair loose and party and give in to your food cravings. At such times, you might want to look for some healthy taste bites and not hog putting all your hard efforts of all this days to a waste! Why not try this baked meatballs that are high in calories alright, when compared to your health foods, but is far better when compared to your cheese and butter coated desserts!

To make these meat balls you’ll require:

· (Ground)Veal, beef, pork – ½ pound each

· Eggs – 2

· Olive oil – 1 tablespoon

· Nicely cut onion – ½

· Garlic cloves – 3 crushed

· Grated Cheese – ½ cup

· Salt – to taste, approximately

· Pepper powder – ½ tablespoon

Pre-heat your oven to about 375 degree Celsius putting it on high. Once your oven is ready and nice and hot, add the finely chopped onions and wait till they are cooked. You’ll know they are cooked when they soften and become translucent. Now add the garlic and cook for just about a minute. Take the cooked onions and garlic and mix all the left over ingredients. Once you’ve made this nice mixture, roll them into balls and put them on your jelly roll pan. Bake them in the oven for close to thirty minutes. They should be done when you see them tempting and brown and roasted. Remove them and flaunt your taste buds!
