The most simple and inexpensive inconvenience beverage is water. Water should be the main drinks served to children when they are snacking, with the ability to satisfy thirst that does not add to the calorie or sugar intake of the child’s daily diet. When children are used to receiving soda or some other type of sweetened beverage during their snack time, it can take time in order for them to be Constable of drinking only water, but this is a large step towards helping them build lifelong healthy diets.

These carbonated drinks contain no sugar, calories or caffeine that would be included in traditional soda. To make carbonated drinks even healthier, you can experiment with different fruit juices, assuming they are 100% fruit juice, and create healthy sodas. This type of alternative beverage will instill in children the importance of a healthy diet.
It is important to remember, especially during lunch times, that low-fat and fat-free milk is a necessary addition to meals and snacks. Note to provide key nutrients including calcium and vitamin D, which are necessary and beneficial to a child’s diet. When serving chocolate strawberry or other flavored milk it is important to serve it with fat-free milk to try and help balance the additional calories coming from the additives and sugars.

Of course, one of the most important healthy beverages for children is 100% fruit juice. It is essential that the juice is 100% fruit juice and does not have additives such as sugar and flavoring that increase calorie and cholesterol intake. Many fruit juices appear to be 100% pure, but have sugars added for flavoring, it is important to check label for ingredients. Drinks they contain at least 50% natural juice and no additives that increase calorie count or sugar intake can also be considered healthy alternatives to soda.
Drinks such as Sunny delight, Hi-C, or Capri Sun and many others are often compiled sugar water with few if any tablespoons of actual juice, this is again, why it is so important to be aware of the nutritional information and ingredients in any juice product.
