Whenever trying to change eating habits it is important to maintain a positive outlook. By not comparing yourself and your personal accomplishments to those of others it will be easier to feel positive about the progress that you have accomplished, and the progress yet to still be accomplished.
Many dieters will create competitions amongst themselves that later results in some of the members stopping all exercise routines, and beginning to comfort eat. Comfort eating is a contributor to obesity that plagues people who have mild depression or are simply unable to maintain a positive outlook.
If you do fall victim to comfort eating, or binge eating it is very important that you remain guilt free. The active feeling guilty will increase the likelihood of you continuing your unhealthy actions. Many people who suffer chronic obese disorders, though a great deal of their suffering to feeling guilty and depression.
