Tasty Walnut Meatballs - Atkins diet recipe
Tasty walnut meatballs from Atkins recipe
This is a high calorie snack that you can treat yourself to once in a while, or for a celebration. It will take you at least about thirty minutes to make this and this will be sufficient for a group of six people.
- Beef – 1 pound
- Sour cream – 3 tablespoons
- Chopped onion – 1 tablespoon
- Cut walnuts – ½ cup
- Crushed garlic – 1
- Salt – as desired
The beef can be nicely ground into a fine paste. The measurement that we have mentioned here which says one pound is after the beef has been ground. It is because of this sour cream and the beef that the calorie value of this goes up, but then it is awesome and very apt for you to celebrate once in a while.
Take all the ingredients from the beef till the salt and make into a nice mixture. You can taste this to see if the salt that you have added is good enough. Always if you do not know how much of salt you will exactly need, it is better to add lesser. You can always add more if you need, but if you land up with excess salt very little can be done to get this rectified. So care should be taken while you add salt.
Heat the oven to four hundred degree Celsius and then make twenty four balls out of this mixture. Arrange these neatly on the baking sheet of your oven and bake them for about fifteen minutes. This should turn brown and nice by then and you can then serve them.
