Ultimate Diet Plan Comparison: Jenny Craig and Atkins

We all know the Jenny Craig Diet. You may even pass by a Jenny Craig center on your way to work. We also all know the Atkins diet, the diet that all meat lovers love because of the fact that it does not push you to not eat meat, it just pushes you to not eat bread.

So, here is a quick diet plan comparison of the two popular programs in terms of items you can put in your food items.

Diet plan comparison question 1: What can I eat?
For Jenny Craig, what else but Jenny Craig pre-packaged meals that cost around $100 a week. I am not kidding you here. For a week’s worth of Jenny Craig prepared meals, shell out $85 to $90 and for your fruits, then add around $10. The blueberry muffin is absolutely delicious though.
For Atkins, you can eat meat, like yummy bacon and burgers – just hold the bun though. You can also eat lobster, fish and steak. It is really for meat lovers.

Diet plan comparison question 2: What can I NOT eat?
For Jenny Craig, anything not coming from their center (except fruits) is a no-no. Although their spokespersons say that the pre-packed meals are just introduction to the right way of eating and you will be weaned off from these packaged meals, in the beginning, you cannot dine out with friends.
For Atkins, bread, rice and starchy vegetables are the things you would have to avoid. Starchy vegetables include potatoes (say goodbye to your mom’s mashe taters), corn, peas, yams, winter squashes and the like are under this.
